The USA vs Canada gold medal game time is set to start at 12:15 PM ET. The US hockey team has already defeated Canada in their first meeting during these winter Olympic games. Now the Canadian hockey team will try to get the win on the most important game of the two. Will the US have enough to beat Canada a second time.

Yahoo reports: Canada, the hockey superpower, was always supposed to play for the gold medal on home ice in the very country that invented hockey. The United States, the infrequent power that hasn’t won a hockey gold outside its own borders, has been the best team in the Olympics so far.

Beating Canada on Canadian ice with a pro-Canadian crowd once was difficult enough for the U.S., the surprise of the tournament and the only unbeaten team remaining.

“It’s hard to beat a team twice in a tournament like this,” U.S. coach Ron Wilson said. “But we’ve beaten Canada, and we’ll play better than we did the last time we played against them.”

The Americans have no choice unless they’re to leave the Olympics with the silver for the second time in three Olympics. Canada also defeated them in Salt Lake City eight years ago.

“We all talked, ‘Wouldn’t it be nice?’ and now we have the opportunity,” said Ryan Miller, perhaps the best goalie in the games. “We have the talent. We have some youthful excitement, we have the right kind of veteran players.”

Those U.S. youngsters—14 are 25 or younger—have won every game in regulation in Vancouver. They didn’t give 2006 silver medalist Finland a chance in the semifinals, scoring six goals in the opening 13 minutes and winning 6-1.

The Canadians have been very good since losing to the U.S., blowing out Germany 8-2 and Russia 7-3, but they’ve also shown vulnerability. The Americans’ speed bothered them, and they held on to beat Slovakia 3-2 in the semifinals Friday night as Roberto Luongo gave up two late goals.

“We’ve got to jump on them early,” American forward Ryan Kesler said Saturday. “The Russians and Slovaks sat back and we’re not going to do that, we’re going to go right after them from the puck drop. We’re going to have to get in his (Luongo’s) face.”

No lineup can match Canada’s for depth, talent and versatility. But this isn’t a seven-game series, it’s a 60-minute game, and the Americans already know they can beat Canada.

If they have few fans in the building, so what? Every crowd in Vancouver has rooted for the Americans’ opponent.

Marie Osmond son death is still under investigation according according to some reports. One must feel bad about this tragedy knowing Marie is an example of a good mother after having eight children. I would assume she is devastated by this tragedy but knowing her she is probably being strong as she addresses the media.

CNN Story Marie Osmond’s 18-year-old son Michael Blosil has died, a family spokesman said Saturday. “My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time,” the entertainer said in a statement through spokesman Alan Nierob. Brian Elias of the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office said the death is under investigation. Her Web site, written last September, describes her as “the proud mother of eight beautiful children who are always her greatest treasures.”

Many people who know Marie Osmond, would say she is a very caring lady.  It is devastating to us all to hear that her 18-year old son ha just passed away.  Her son, Michael Blosil, died unexpected, which investigators still have not found answers.  According to the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office, the investigation is currently under-way, but answers seem to be more difficult to find than expected.

Sevensidedcube story Marie Osmond, for those who are not familiar with her, has eight children.  Five of her children are children that she has adopted, which Michael Blosil is one of the five.  She had adopted the five children in her last marriage, when she was married to Brian Blosil.  Their marriage ended abruptly in 2007 when they filed for divorce.

Marie Osmond son death hopefully does not stop Marie from performing and doing what she does best caring for her other children.

Wow who would’ve thought there would be a Ventura Tsunami. Apparently the earthquake that took place in Chile sent Tsuanmi warnings all over the Pacific and there are reports that it reached California more specifically Ventura where many boats were destroyed and many boat owners had a tough time getting control of their boats. Fortunately there were no reposted injuries caused by the Ventura Tsunami, this occurrence is very rare in California and even though the damage was minimal it caused concern on the people who live around the area.

Reports say that a tidal surge estimated at 3 metres slashed Ventura Harbor about 1 p.m.

According to the NOAA Pacific Tsunami Warning Center scientists, tsunami waves are also known to have hit Hilo Bay and Kahului. The two aves had a 20 minute gap.

No damage has been reported in Hawaii as tsunami waves traveled past Hawaii.
